Thank you to parents who were able to make it to Back-to-School Night!  It was great getting to meet you!

I appreciate everyone who signed up to volunteer to help in our class.  If you didn’t sign up, but would like to, just let me know and I’ll add you to the signup page.  It takes some time to get our schedule and routines down and get students assessed and into groups. I plan to have our volunteers start coming in after Labor Day.

If you’d like to send snacks in for a class, the students would really appreciate it.  As of right now, we have 28 students.  Some days some students are convinced they may starve to death by lunch time.  wink face

 thankyou

Mrs. Palladino, I am loving the website- and that you keep it updated with all the latest information.
As you might have guessed (by the blue flower pots around the school,) that I love gardening and would like to help with the greenhouse you are planning. Did you know Rebecca’s Aunt and Uncle (Cheri and Robert Kersieck) own Ladybug Nursery? I know they do school field trips to the Nursery and they’ve donated flowers last year to replace the tulips that the third graders planted.(Plus Aunt Cheri is an alumna of North Elementary.) We have “connection”- let me know what you need and I will talk to them. Or I can give you their number and you can talk with them.
I love helping out in your class. You have a great bunch of students this year and it is so fun to get to know them. Sincerely, Liz Tait (Rebecca’s mom)

Thanks! I do try to keep it updated and I’m glad it is appreciated.
I didn’t know that Becca’s aunt and uncle own Ladybug Nursery! That’s awesome! I’ve been talking with Mr. Whittier about the greenhouse and he has given me the go-ahead to order it! Yay!!! The plan right now is to order it, but to wait until the spring to set it up. That way we don’t have to tend it over the winter. The next thing we’ll need is shelving. I have one small potting shelf that was donated from JoAnns, but I know we will need more. Thanks for your offer to help. I REALLY appreciate your support, both for our school and our classroom! Thank you!!
